Apple iPhone Alternatives to Consider

September 15, 2011

The Apple iPhone is the king of the smart phone market. The graphics and multimedia are top notch. The colors pop off the screen. Carry an iPhone and you will be hip, cool, and ready to tackle any smart-phone related task with panache. Still, you will be surprised to find there are many quality smart phones available with superior qualities to the iPhone. So when you are not going to buy an iPhone or do not want to consider it for your budget then you can think of these phones. The phones might differ in price a little bit but you can have almost the same capability as the iPhone and sometimes even better.  Here are Apple iPhone alternatives to consider.

The Android family of phones, which includes products from Motorola and Samsung, provide superior camera quality. The iPhone 4 features a 5.8 megapixel camera. Take a picture with the iPhone and because of the small screen and the quality display of the iPhone it will look amazing. But many of the Droid cameras, including the Droid X2, the Charge, and the HTC Thunderbolt, offer 8 megapixels. That means when you are going to use the picture in your PC wallpaper or even going to put in as your profile picture this will look even better than the iPhone’s one. And what about printing quality?

The iPhone has trouble with dropped calls. Consumer Reports recently reviewed cell phones and the iPhone scored poorly, largely due to problems with making phone calls.  Only one iPhone scored well enough to make the cut, while a dozen or so phones from other manufacturers scored higher.  Nearly any other smart phone will provide better pure phone service than the iPhone.

[sws_red_box box_size="615"]Battery Life [/sws_red_box]

There’s nothing worse than your battery running out right when you need your phone.  Among the best?  Kent German at cnet reports that the Droid X2 and the HTC Status provided 8 hours worth of battery life.  Other phones performing almost as well included the Casio g’zOne  Commando, the LG Thrive, the Samsung Infuse 4G, and the Motorola Xprt.

The iPhone touchpad does not provide the most graceful typing experience.  For those who use their smart phones to text or type frequently, a keyboard is a must have.  Smart phones with that capability include the Droid 2 and Droid 3, the Samsung Epic 4G, the T-Mobile My Touch phones, and the Blackberry Torch.

Over the years, there have been one or two smart phones that came close to iPhone; but to be honest, nothing really wins over the best gadget of all time. Nevertheless, if you are the type that doesn’t want to be part of the trending craze, you can sure find cheap, quality smart phones online. Before buying anything online, be sure to dig details on your seller to avoid online scams and fraud. You can do this with the use of the best background check service.

Well what ever you say- but iPhone still is the top product of the tech arena. i would love to have some other phone if I get it, but I would love to buy and iPhone if I can afford it.

The touch phone industry is watching a revolution through iPhone actually. Anyway, I love iPhone just not for its gloss but the apps are always coming- that is why.
