Our Journey From 0 To 12,882 Unique Visitors Per Day

I am writing this post only to motivate new bloggers, so that they can believe that nothing is impossible and they can easily generate good amount of traffic to their blog. This post will work as a driving force for the newbies to work more hard. Here I will briefly describe my journey from ’0′ uv to 13,000 uv per day.

I purchased this domain somewhere in Feb 2011, and I have nothing in my mind where to start from. I purchased the domain because it is a 4 character domain. I really don’t have any idea about blog or wordpress or anything, I was simply blank with what to do with the domain. I have seen many blogs that post their traffic stats and their monthly income reports, that really force me to start a blog and earn that much amount of money. Although I knew that all that will require too much of time and hard work. I installed WordPress in the domain and started exploring the admin interface. As the wordpress backend is very user friendly, it did not took much time to understand the usage of wordpress. I installed a theme and started copying interested articles from other websites. In first few months I copied many articles and started submitting sitemap to google. It took many days to see my articles getting indexed in google, and finally in march I saw few of my articles got indexed in google and I started getting 2 or 3 visitors via Google. That was really a great day for me to see few visitors to my site.

The month of March passes and I got somewhat 100 UV in that month. That was enough for me at that time. I never thought of earning money from the blog at that point of time. Then I applied for Google Adsense and got rejected due to “Site under Construction”. I thought “my site is new, that’s why my site is not accepted”, so I copied few more articles. Then I thought to do some SEO for my blog, luckily I heard about Thesis Theme. So I thought to give it a try. I shifted from free theme to Thesis Premium Theme, and wrote one article by myself for the first time. The article got place on the first page of Google and my traffic went from 50 UV to 4000 UV that day. After that my traffic started touching 1000 UV per day. Thus thesis was a live start for my blog. In April, I got traffic of around 30,000 UV. Luckily, my adsense account also got approved in April end.

In May, my site was almost ready to get some good traffic from Google and to earn some $$$. In May I started writing articles by myself (not all, still many are copied) and all articles get indexed in one or two days. I was happy to see the progress and increasing visitors. I joined few affiliates, like hostgator and thesis themes. In May, I got a massive increase in my traffic and it almost touched 50,000 UV and my adsense account earned around 130$. I was really very happy to see my first earning from my blog. I also got few affiliates sales. In nutshell, May was the best month for me, as I have started earning from my work, although the earning was quite small.

Then comes June, and everything got doubled except my earnings, which increased by 10 times of my previous earnings, . This month I achieved the target of 1 lac UV and my earnings were massive (2200$ to be concise). Alexa of my blog was also improving day by day at a rapid speed. Finally the day came for which I waited too long, Google updated the PR of sites. But unluckily, Google missed my blog. I did not got any Pagerank, . Although it was not a big deal for me, as my traffic was increasing day by day.

And now its the month of July, we started pretty well with our earnings and traffic. We touched the UV of 12,882 on 15th of July. That was really awesome to see. The adsense earning on 15th July was around 75$, which was much higher than my average earning. From last 3-4 days my daily UV is above 10,000, which is really great. We are growing at a rapid speed. This month we have achieved many goals, but best is yet to come. This all is possible because of our visitors. So thanks to all my subscribers and visitors. Yup, forgot to mention that my 80%+ traffic is from Google, so the conversion rate in my blog is really very very high.
